Gas equipment installation and maintenance can only be carried out by approved company
Installation and maintenance of natural gas equipment and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) equipment can only be performed by companies approved by Tukes (Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency). Tukes carefully monitors the operations of the approved companies.
Tukes has verified Suomen Biovoima Oy as an approved company and has granted the following operating rights (qualification: A-gas):
- Installation and maintenance of LPG equipment
- Installation and maintenance of natural gas pipelines and equipment
An approved company must have a responsible person. Approved company’s right to operate is determined by the qualification of the responsible person. In Suomen Biovoima, Toni Hiltunen, Chief Technology Officer, has been appointed as the responsible person.

Installation and maintenance work
With A-gas qualification, we are able to carry out the following works on LPG and natural gas equipment:
- Installation of gas pipelines
- Gas equipment connections
- Gas equipment maintenance work
We provide a certificate signed by the responsible person regarding the maintenance and inspection tasks we have carried out. The certificate always indicates that the work has been carried out in accordance with the relevant requirements and clearly states what operations the certificate concerns.
