Pasteurization ensures the destruction of harmful bacteria

Existing regulations require that animal by-products utilized in biogas plant production undergo pasteurization. The BIOpasteurizer system raises the temperature of the biogas plant feedstock or digestate to 70°C for one hour, ensuring the destruction of harmful bacteria and thus guaranteeing pasteurization. Pasteurization allows the final product to be used as fertilizer.
