BIOadapter grid injection unit: Latvia

In autumn 2023, BM Holding of Latvia ordered a grid injection unit from Biovoima for a biomethane grid injection solution. The BIOadapter grid injection unit was delivered in June 2024. Latvia's largest biogas producer is investing in grid connection containers to meet the growing demand and production of biomethane in the Baltic region. The Baltic countries have a high gas consumption and have been among the first to close natural gas pipelines from Russia. In a changed global context, substitutes, which are also cleaner for the environment, are now being developed at a rapid pace.  Grid injection solution allows the quality and pressure of the biomethane to be precisely adjusted to the requirements of the network, enabling biogas to be fed into the natural gas network. The Biovoiman solution also provides reliable gas dispersion and quantity measurement.

BM Holding is part of Anaerobic Holding. Anaerobic Holding owns biogas plants in Latvia with a combined capacity of 4.9 MW. The biogas plants produce electricity and heat from renewable energy sources.
