New Video of the Voss Biomethane Plant

Biovoima has handed over its state-of-the-art biomethane plant in Voss, Norway, to its owner, BIR AS, one of Norway’s largest waste management companies. BIR serves nearly 400,000 residents in seven municipalities in the Bergen area.

Each year, the facility processes biowaste and cattle manure to produce 26 GWh of high-quality, 100 percent renewable biomethane for use in transportation and industry. Compressed biomethane is dispensed at the BIOpark CBG refueling station, which serves both BIR’s own waste collection vehicles and heavy-duty vehicles from other companies.
