Two new gas transfer units delivered to Mustankorkeja

Finland's Biovoima delivered two new gas transporters to Mustankorkea Oy.

On 17 August, Biovoima delivered new gas containers to Mustankorkea Oy. The company took ownership of 2 20’ (6 m) hook lift containers to replace the rental containers.

The containers are intended for the transfer of biogas produced and processed at the Mustankorkea biogas plant to the remote refuelling station located in the yard of Seppälä K-Citymarket (Vasarakatu 29, Jyväskylä).

Supplied by gas containers are type IV composite containers with high storage capacity and low tare weight. This allows gas to be transported in a very cost-effective manner. The containers are type-approved according to EN 12245-3 and ADR/TPED.

Technical specifications

  • Container type: 20’ hook-standard containers
  • Max. working pressure: 250 bar
  • Container water capacity: 14 850 litres per container
  • Quantity of gas transported: approx. 3 150 kg (15°C) per container

Black Belts Oy is a municipal waste management company operating in Central Finland, which owns and operates a biogas plant and two biogas filling stations in the Jyväskylä area.
