The BIOpasteurizer is an excellent solution for cost-effective hygienisation of raw material or digestate in a biogas plant. The system is designed to be efficient and heat reusing with an excellent heat recovery solution.
Existing legislation requires that the raw material or digestate of a biogas plant using animal by-products in its production is pasteurized. The BIOpasteurizer system raises the temperature of the raw material or digestate in the biogas plant to 70°C for one hour, which ensures the destruction of harmful bacteria and thus ensures pasteurization. This pasteurization allows the final product to be used as fertiliser.
