Biovoima was awarded ISO 9001 certification in December. Biovoima aims to continuously strengthen and ensure the quality standards of its operations and develop its internal processes based on the ISO 9001:2015 management system standard. The certification, obtained at the end of 2024, is valid for project management, maintenance and engineering services for biomethane and biogas plants and projects and their sales processes.

Managing Director of the company Eero Tilsala sees that ISO 9001 certification contributes to ensuring quality and continuous improvement of the company's operations.
”Achieving the ISO 9001 standard was a joint effort by the whole team. In fact, we already had many areas of our quality practices well in place, as quality has always been at the heart of our solutions. The biggest work in applying for certification was to describe the processes in more detail in writing. Working to a standard not only contributes to quality and continuous improvement, certification is now also required. Especially for international projects, ISO 9001 certification is often a requirement. Our next goal is to go further in terms of quality standards and achieve ISO 14001 environmental certification, with the aim of creating a cleaner future for us, our posterity and our customers. This is already part of our mission statement, our raison d'être,” says Tilsala.
The international standard ISO 14001 sets out the requirements for an environmental management system that an organisation can follow to improve its environmental performance. The standard is intended for organisations that want to manage their environmental responsibilities in a systematic way that supports the environmental element of sustainable development.
